Today we launched RED|TEAM|LABS which is a side project focused on the Hacking CTF that is in the works. I want to give a shout out to n1tr0g3n and Yashar for helping out with the CTF ideas and lab setup help. The CTF could be a failure or could be an awesome success. I believe of course it will be awesome otherwise I wouldnt be wasting my time. As of now, we have tested out the labs and so far so good. We are using openVPN for people to connect to our labs. I first was running it through the cloud using openvpn's access server but quickly found out that we could only generate 2 certificates unless we wanted to pay for licenses per user. So I moved away from that idea for now. We are hosting our own labs which have several machines on it from different windows and linux platforms. We are currently setting up the flags and hope to do some final testing in the near future. For our first CTF, we are going to give THS Members first priority on sign up. It should be a small CTF with 10 people because we really dont know how the network will handle all of the stress. It may handle it like a champ, we shall see. We hope to start small and grow as always with awesome people. If you have never played in a CTF before and are unsure if you should give it a go, I would say go for it. We are all friends here and it will only make you stronger!
