Well, here is another trainer that I did for "Men of War - Assault Squad" from gog.com. I really like strategy games like this along with the command and conquer series, starcraft, age of empires, etc etc.. For this trainer, for now at least, I have focused on resources. When you create new units, resource points are taken away. Time will very very slowly rebuild your points or you can capture objectives. When activated this trainer will make the game NOT decrease in resource points when creating new units, so you can create however many you want. SWEEEEEEEET!
Here is a video of the sweet sauce!
If you have been following my blog for a little bit you may have noticed I did a mini series on reverse engineering. It all started many years ago when I wanted to learn how to cheat with games. Having unlimited ammo, health or whatever was a cool skill to have but requires some more advanced techniques than just adjusting values for cheating. Creating trainers is a fun hobby. Of course it can be very time consuming and tedious depending on what you are trying to do. I am a big fan of gog.com 'good ol games'. They take old games and sometimes new games, and make them compatible on modern windows and some linux systems. Old DOS games that I use to play back in the day, I can now play again by using gog. So today I created a trainer for a game called "Faster Than Light" version 1.03.1. Its a simple entertaining space game and seems to be popular. On GOG's website, they only are selling the advanced version, the version I have is no longer sold on gog but you can still find it if you know where to search. I will probably be making more trainers in the future. Please comment if you are into this sort of thing!
Some people are really crazy about making trainers. They like to play fancy music and make it look all crazy. I don't really care about that, I just want the thing to work! It gets the job done!
If you get this version of FTL, and you want the trainer, shoot me an email or leave me a comment.
